FACT; Each Donated Deer provides about 45 pounds of ground venison, or 180 "Quarter Pounder" servings!
GOOD NEWS FOR THE FUTURE OF WISCONSIN DEER DONATION -The current Wisconsin state budget includes funding for the processing of donated deer statewide. $ 1.00 from the first 600,000 deer hunting licenses sold each season is designated for the deer donation program. Encourage your state legislators and Gov. Jim Doyle to keep deer donation funding in the budget. Thank You to every deer hunter who provides $1.00 of deer donation funding through the purchase of their bow or gun deer license. Your $1.00 will process about a pound of ground venison for your less fortunate neighbors!...Special Notice...Deer donation has been suspended for this year in the CWD region of the state, due to budget cuts at the national and state level.
